The biggest take away from 2019 is learning how to have a winners mentality. Growing up as my father being a Lakers fan and watching Kobe Bryant. Watching how he attacked the game and never let anyone distract him from greatness. This is how you should be in everyday life. When you mess up, do you cry and complain about how stupid of a mistake you've made? Or do you take it to the chin and move on. When times get tough, do you find excuses not to deliver and come through? Or will you make a way, and prove people wrong.
Winning is not always about the scoreboard. Most of the successful people I know got the crap kicked of them. Winning at life takes risk. It takes long nights and saying no to a lot of fun times you could have . The difference between losers and winners is that losers accept losing. They accept the fact that they can't do any better , and that their trials and tribulations are reality. Winners lose and go to the drawing board to come up with a plan to ensure it won't happen again. The moment I became a winner at life is the moment I accepted that life isn't easy. My good will out weigh my bad , but my bad will always make headlines to people before my success. I made a vow to myself that I will neve accept being 2nd to anything. I will ex out anybody or anything that does not bring me value. Being a winner brings attention. It will elevate people expectations of you because they are so use to seeing you on top. Same reason why people criticize Lebron James and other premier athletes, is because they put you on a pedestal that you are elite. Now no you can't slam dunk over 2 people like Lebron, or win 6 Superbowls like Tom Brady, but you can win the championship within your own life. What ever goals you have set for yourself attack them relentlessly.
The definition of mentality is the characteristic attitude of mind or way of thinking of a person or group. This means that an attitude can be changed or altered. Most people wait until life hits them in the face to wake up. To be a winner you can't be afraid of what people think of you. You can't be worried about losing people. Who cares?! that's why God made more than just you and me on this planet. You honesty think billionaires in this world have a lot of friends. No more like a lot of people begging for money. The last part that made me more of a winner is to remain humble. Win with class is what my coach in basketball use to say. People can spot a winner a mile away. So if this is the case you don't have to rub it in people faces. The world takes and gives so enjoy your time on top and be thankful that your hard work has gotten you this far.
I have lost a lot this year. I have lost friends and relationships. I lost money and time that I can never get back. The thing is other than the time , I never lost something I couldn't replace. A winners mentality is in all of us. It's just a matter of time until you wake it up.
